{"id":334,"date":"2022-10-01T21:53:48","date_gmt":"2022-10-01T19:53:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/concreteroads2023.com\/?page_id=334"},"modified":"2023-02-23T13:01:29","modified_gmt":"2023-02-23T12:01:29","slug":"background","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/concreteroads2023.com\/es\/background\/","title":{"rendered":"Symposium background"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The International Symposium on Concrete Roads was organised the first time in Paris, in 1969 under the auspices of <a href=\"https:\/\/cembureau.eu\/\">CEMBUREAU<\/a> \u2013 the European Cement Association.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The next editions of the four-yearly Symposium were: 1973, Bern, CH \u2013 1978, Besan\u00e7on, FR \u2013 1982, London, UK \u2013 1986, Aachen, DE \u2013 1990, Madrid, ES \u2013 1994, Vienna, AT \u2013 1998, Lisbon, PT \u2013 2004, Istanbul, TR \u2013 2006, Brussels, BE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2008, CEMBUREAU handed over the patronage to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eupave.eu\/\">EUPAVE<\/a>, the European Concrete Paving Association. Since then, the following Symposia were organised: 2010, Seville, ES \u2013 2014, Prague, CZ and 2018, Berlin, DE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Right from the beginning, the World Road Association <a href=\"https:\/\/www.piarc.org\/en\/\">PIARC<\/a> supported the event as co-organizer and since 2010, a close collaboration was also set up with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.concretepavements.org\/\">ISCP<\/a>, the International Society for Concrete Pavements.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The aim has always been improving and promoting concrete pavement technologies at an international level.
